NASA's Cassini spacecraft has spotted what could be ice volcanoes on one of Saturn's moons.
Long suspected to exist on ice-rich worlds the possibility of cryovolcanoes has been debated for years, similar in shape to volcanoes on Earth that spew molten rock the volcanoes on Titan have been identified by their topography and surface composition.

Flyover of Sotra Facula, Titan › Play video This image is based on data from NASA's Cassini spacecraft and shows a flyover of an area of Saturn's moon Titan known as Sotra Facula. Scientists believe Sotra is the best case for an ice volcano -- or cryovolcano -- region on Titan. The flyover shows two peaks more than 1,000 meters (3,000 feet) tall and multiple craters as deep as 1,500 meters (5,000 feet). It also shows finger-like flows. All of these are land features that indicate cryovolcanism. The 3-D topography comes from Cassini's radar instrument. Topography has been vertically exaggerat... [More]

LoL, its very unlikely that we live alone in this entire Universe, and its very loling that we haven't found any evidence of life even after discovering water on Mars and things like that! They just doesn't wanna let us know. But we already know.

Ice volcanos. Does that mean huge chunks of ice explode out the top? And instead of lava flows you'd have like mean glasiers flowing down the sides? That would be cool.

Cool pictures of Titan. This is one of the most interesting areas in the Solar System to me.
