"Idaho snake house" up for sale

The home's owners fled the premesis last year due to its infestation by thousands of snakes.
The unenviable task of trying to sell the property has fallen on Realty Quest associate broker Todd Davis. It is thought the house had been built on a snake den site, despite efforts to remove the slithering occupants it is believed that massive piles of snakes are still packed in to the crawlspaces under the floor and between the inner and outer walls.
Even the man trying to sell this house admits it has a 'horrible' problem. But there are snake lovers in the world, so he remains hopeful. The agent trying to sell this five-bedroom house in Idaho has listed it for $66,000 less than its estimated market value - because it is infested with thousands of snakes.

O.k. garter snakes. Yes, they can bite, but come on.... it's like having a bunch of living spaghetti noodles. My one major beef with the article: "The residents are believed to be common garter snakes, a type found throughout the United States. They are not poisonous and are harmless to humans. Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1349679/Desperate-realtor-slashes-price-Idaho-home-infested-SNAKES.html#ixzz1Bz0Rcvfu" I only know of talk of one or two "poisonous" snakes, venomous on the other hand....

I have an 8 ft boa well only about 5 ft now but growing. I really would only mind the smell.

you would think...but maybe since its a den they just keep coming back That's a very good point. I suppose the municipal authorities might bulldoze the house down if the situation ever gets out of hand or if too many concerns are expressed.

Its not nice to mess with Mother Nature. The only problem I see is the smell, snake excretia is not without its own perfume and lots of snakes also have a musk. I wonder if they tried mothballs in the walls and ceiling. It would at least keep the little darlins outside not in.
