A woman attempted to break her husband out of a Mexican jail by hiding him in her suitcase.
The 19-year-old had brought the suitcase with her on a visit and which was just large enough for her husband ( who was serving a 20-year sentence for illegal possession of firearms ) to curl up inside. Suspicious wardens stopped the woman to check the suitcase and were able to recapture the convict before he could escape.
A woman was caught trying to sneak her common-law-husband out of a Mexican prison in a suitcase following a conjugal visit, according to police.

"20-year sentence for illegal possession of firearms" That sentence is stupid in itself, unless the guy was selling tons of firearms.....

"20-year sentence for illegal possession of firearms" That sentence is stupid in itself, unless the guy was selling tons of firearms..... The long sentence could have been given due to probation violation

Haha, man in a suitcase used to be the name of a tv series. Wonder if thats where he got the idea from 20 years in prison for illegal posession of firearms seems pretty steep. Did the guy have a tank + apache helicopter as well??

He must be a dwarf. Now his wife will join him in the clink. The last paragraph takes the cake though : "The attempted escape comes months after police discovered a bar at prison in northern Mexico that served beer, tequila and vodka to inmates"

Fox News reports that this is already the second incident this year of people trying to hide out in suitcases. We're witnessing the beginning of a new fad.
