'Superhero' Phoenix Jones arrested

The self-proclaimed superhero was picked up by police after assaulting several people with pepper spray.
Jones hit headlines earlier this year due to his mask-wearing, crime fighting vigilante activities on the streets of Seattle. "Just because he's dressed up in costume, it doesn't mean he's in special consideration or above the law. You can't go around pepper spraying people because you think they are fighting," said a police spokesman.
Police officers arrested the 23-year-old man who calls himself Phoenix Jones early Sunday after he was accused of assaulting several people with pepper spray. He was booked in county jail on four counts of assault, with arraignment set for Thursday, police said Monday.

STAGED! Uh no, its not. LOL. Phoenix Jones is something of an icon, and I know the person who filmed the video. Not staged.

What a lulz-worthy loon. Superheroes have been popping up around the U.S. lately. All those kids that grew up on comic books now wanting to make it a reality. Crazy world. They have their own website: Real Life Superheroes I can understand being a Guardian Angel, but do they have to wear the ridiculous rubber suits? You have to draw a line somewhere between fantasy and reality.

You have to draw a line somewhere between fantasy and reality. Except Phoenix Jone's suit isn't rubber.... it's bullet proof; body armor from head to toe. But well, yes, still somewhat ridiculous. I've never been able to decide if I support this loon or not. Last week, all charges were dropped against him.... [More]
