Talking urinals offer drink driving warnings

Special urinals have been installed in several US pubs in an effort to tackle drink driving.

Drivers using the facilities after a night in the pub may be surprised to hear the urinal talking to them in a new campaign to curb incidents of drink driving. "Hey, listen up - that's right, I'm talking to you," the message begins. "Have you had a few drinks, maybe a few too many? Do yourself and everyone else a favour and call a cab."

Anne Readett from the Office of Highway Safety Planning defended the new devices on the basis that they have the potential to save lives. "We put a very serious message in a unique place, with a little humour," she said.

"Drinkers in Michigan would be forgiven for thinking they have had one too many when they hear a urinal talk back at them."

If they're going to have talking urinals it should have a female voice that says, HELLO BIG BOY, LIKE HANGING AROUND IN JOHNS?

It' so hard to tell nowadays. I sometimes ask for ID. Either you are young enough to have to worry about it or you are an old fart that shouldn't even think about going out with someone that young looking.
