After the abduction - part three

As traumatic as it was, life must go on, and in fact it’s the mundane things of everyday life that is a calming, reassuring force which helps drown out the fears of those memories. Any psychologist will tell you that the best therapy in the world for someone who has suffered a major traumatic event is the doing of routine, everyday things. So, I generally strive to focus on “life as usual” and go on with my life as normally as possible…which isn’t easy when you can’t share something as monumental as this and have to pretend it never happened, in order to fit into society!

That’s exactly what I was doing a year ago, on a bright, spring afternoon. I was simply enjoying the day as I walked home from the store, and thinking about how nice the weather was. I was walking down a busy main street, it was the middle of the afternoon, and the sun was shining…Who would ever expect something bizarre to happen under those circumstances?

There was a break in the traffic, and the street was quiet for a few moments. As I glanced ahead I noticed something crossing the road. At first I thought it was a large dog as it seemed to be on all fours, but then it appeared to be a person hunched over. Then I realized it wasn’t a person either, as it was “phasing” in and out of sight. The best way I can describe it would be to say it was as if it was being concealed with some sort of cloaking technology that was malfunctioning, flickering in and out of view.

I was walking towards it and kept my eyes fixed on it, trying to discern what exactly it was. It crossed the road in an odd shuffling/sideways gait, and appeared to be dragging something that looked like a long rod or stick. I couldn’t make out much detail due to the fact that it kept phasing in and out of sight, and also because it was a distance away. I had reached my street about the same time it stepped up onto the sidewalk, and I decided to turn down my street rather than approach it because I felt very disturbed by what my eyes were seeing…there was just this unexplainable sense of danger. I continued on home with absolutely no idea of what it had been, but feeling as if I had seen something I wasn’t supposed to. It was impossible to shake this very disturbing feeling for the rest of the day.

Two days later I had finally been able to put it out of my mind, and was checking out an Internet site that features articles about the unexplained. There was an article there about a news crew in some Latin country who had been filming an interview with someone and had inadvertently caught “an alien” in the background. With a sneer of disbelief on my face and thinking it was probably a hoax and would be fun to watch, I played the video clip. The camera was focused on a woman standing in a small parking lot while she was being interviewed by a newsman. It looked like a rural area behind her, with a dirt road dividing the tree line from the parking lot. Then, suddenly, this hunched-over figure appears from the edge of the frame, shuffling along in an odd sideways gait along the road, and seemed to be dragging a long rod or stick. It, too, seemed to “phase” in and out…exactly like what I had seen! The video offered a magnified still-shot, which was even more shocking. It looked like a grey! I sat back stunned by what I’d just seen.

Even those of us who acknowledge the existence of these beings often make the mistake of thinking the whole scope of their presence is restricted to abductions. We tend to focus on that, and don’t realize they are more present on this earth than we think. The shocking truth is, they are doing far more than abducting people. There are countless reports of witnesses seeing crafts hovering over our lakes and oceans, diving in and out of them...There are others who have evidence that these creatures are responsible for cattle mutilations, some have seen deer and elk snatched up into crafts, and still others who have witnessed them taking soil and vegetation samples. We need to broaden our view and realize the alien presence on this planet is far greater than we ever thought. It challenges our perception of the world and raises some disturbing questions, but they’re questions we need to start asking.

That realization was driven home to me on that day last year. If I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes first, I would have thought that video clip was the result of some technological glitch or a hoax…and I am one of those who knows from experience that aliens exist! It’s time to take our blinders off and start taking this subject very seriously. There is more happening here on this planet than just abductions.
