Reporter Rob Spence has said that he is planning to have a camera embedded in his eye socket and become a 'bionic reporter'. Spence, who lost one of his eyes when he was young, says he has a prototype in development and that one day the replacement of even healthy eyes with bionic ones may become commonplace. "It seems shocking now, but it will become more and more normal," he said.
Darren Waters: The idea of lifecasting is not new: Justin.tv was an interesting project which saw a San Franciscan wear a webcam 24/7 and broadcast direct to the net. But Rob Spence is going further. He is planning to have a camera embedded in his eye socket in order to become a 'bionic reporter'."

I think that is pretty cool. If I didn't have a eye and I was offered to do it I might. It all depends how it looks, for me that is. Atleast you would never forget your camera when your out having fun.

Huh. It did not say if he could see what the camera sees, or if he had to download it latter. I how it is not a wireless, as such a strong signal so close to the brain has proven to be hazardous to your long term health.

Reminds me of that movie with Robin Williams, The Final Cut. How about the movie Doomsday.... if anybody else actually watched that one. Not a spectacular flick.... I will say that it was entertaining enough to watch though....

I how it is not a wireless, as such a strong signal so close to the brain has proven to be hazardous to your long term health. I thought the same. And it reminds me of that recent story about a legless woman who was given a mermaid tail to swim instead of legs - see the similarities? Lol, lose a body bart, replace with something more impressive
