Triangular UFO caught on night vision

The footage was filmed through night vision goggles. Image Credit: US Army A recent MUFON ( Mutual UFO Network ) report details the testimony of an anonymous witness who managed to capture the unique spectacle on his camera.

The amateur astronomer had been out after dark observing the moon using a small telescope when he noticed what he believed to be a plane approaching in the distance. It was a clear night with no clouds and the object was flying at around 5,000ft.

Realising that it didn't seem to be making any noise whatsoever, he grabbed his video camera and night vision goggles and started to record. The mystery deepened as, even as it was passing directly overhead, the object maintained complete silence.As he continued to watch it he also noted that he could see the stars directly through the object as though it were transparent. The craft appeared to be triangular in shape with a total of five lights - two at the rear with a circular blinking light between them and two others located at the front.

"The last weird thing that I noticed, was that when I took the goggles down for a second to get a bearing as to where it was in the sky, I couldn't see any of the lights," he wrote.

Eventually the object vanished out of sight to the south. The video he took can be viewed below.
