Disney's new car can drive up vertical walls

Disney has revealed the development of a remarkable new toy car that can go where no car has gone before.
Created through a collaboration between Disney Research and ETH Zurich, the 'VertiGo' can drive along the ground like any other remote-controlled toy car. What sets it apart from its competitors however is the fact that it can transition in to a vertical position and drive up and along solid walls.

Critical to this functionality are its two tiltable propellers which provide the thrust needed to keep it affixed to vertical surfaces while also enabling the vehicle to transition from floors to walls on its own.

It isn't clear exactly what Disney intends to do with it once the design is perfected but it certainly has the potential to make for a unique ( and expensive ) gift if they ever decide to sell it in shops.
