Obama: 'no direct contact with aliens yet'

Credit: Pete Souza / (PD) White House It's not every day that you get to ask President Obama about the possibilities of extraterrestrial life but for Macey Hensley, a six-year-old who appeared on a recent episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, an interview with the Commander-in-Chief offered up a golden opportunity.

Introduced as the show's 'Presidential expert', young Macey asked Obama if there really was a "Book of Secrets" to which he humorously replied "that's a secret."

When the six-year-old asked him whether or not humans had ever made contact with alien life he responded by saying "we haven't actually made direct contact with aliens yet."

"When we do, I'll let you know."
