Drunk monkey waves knife at bar customers

The monkey chased bar customers around with a knife. Image Credit: YouTube / Jozivan Antero According to reports, the badly behaved primate entered a bar in Patos, Paraiba Province and managed to drink a whole glass of rum before somehow stealing a large kitchen knife.

Concerned locals ended up calling the fire brigade when the monkey started to chase the bar's customers around while brandishing the sizable blade in its hands."It was a bar staff oversight that ended with the monkey drinking some rum and taking the knife," said Fire department Lt. Col. Saul Laurentino.

The rebellious primate was eventually captured and then later released at a local nature reserve, however it's disruptive behavior apparently didn't stop there.

"We had to recapture him because he was causing problems and threatening children living near the reserve," said Lt Col Laurentino. "We will forward it on Saturday to the Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (IBAMA) in Sousa. There, they will evaluate whether the animal is able to return to the environment or if it will need to live in captivity."
