An old camera fished up from the bottom of the sea was found to contain some rather remarkable footage.
Dan Rose and his sister Madeline had been fishing off the coast of England earlier this month when they reeled in something unexpected - an old GoPro camera that had been sitting on the sea floor.

Intrigued by the discovery, Dan took the device home in an attempt to get it to work. The circuits had unfortunately been corroded by the seawater but the SD card inside seemed to still be intact.
When he played the footage back he discovered that the camera had been dropped almost a year earlier by some divers and that, while sitting on the bottom of the sea, it had managed to pick up a visit from a rather curious crustacean.

The footage, which has been viewed almost two million times online, went viral almost immediately and within a matter of hours the original owner of the camera was found.

A video covering the whole story, as well as the crab's infamous selfie, can be viewed below.
