Mystery surrounds light under the River Thames

Image: AI-generated (Midjourney) Something unusual may be lurking beneath the waters of London's iconic river - that is, at least, according to footage recently posted up on the Canary Wharf and Isle of Dogs Facebook group.

The clip was posted up on August 15th by Juliana Asayevich who had been out and about when she noticed the peculiar flashing light shining beneath the water's surface.

Clearly visible in the darkness, the light blinks on and off at a rapid pace.So what is it ?

Some speculated that there could be a submarine parked beneath the water, while others suggested that it could be some sort of beacon designed to warn ships about a hidden hazard.

Others also suggested that it could be something that someone had dumped in the water.

"It's probably the location of the plug," one person joked. "All you have to do is pull it out."
