Video of 'floating broom' goes viral on TikTok

What's keeping this broom in the air ? Image Credit: TikTok / @theonenamedlucca The perplexing footage, which was uploaded a few days ago by a delivery driver who goes by the name @theonenamedlucca on TikTok, shows what looks like a straw broom floating around 40ft in the air above the road.

Resembling a typical witch's broomstick like something you might expect to find in a Harry Potter movie, the peculiar object seems to sit motionless and with no visible means of propulsion or support.

The driver even gets out of his vehicle, showing that it is not simply stuck to the windshield.

He has also since emphasized that the footage has not been edited or doctored in any way.So what exactly is going on in the clip - is there really a broomstick hovering in the air or is it an optical illusion of some kind ? Alternatively, could the whole thing be a clever hoax ?

There really is no way to know for sure what the truth of the matter is from the video alone - broomsticks don't just hover in the sky, so either it's a trick of some kind or the footage has been doctored using computer software.

Either way, it's certainly intriguing and as of writing, the clip has been viewed over 8 million times.
