Tom Biscardi and his team will be searching the remote jungles of Thailand for the elusive Orang Pendek.
Bigfoot sightings are certainly not unique to North America - reports of mysterious hominids can be found all over the world in countries such as Brazil, Russia, Australia and China.

Now researcher Tom Biscardi, who is no stranger to seeking out evidence of these creatures, has announced that he will be leading a new expedition to the jungles of Thailand where he and his colleagues will search for evidence of a Bigfoot variant known as the Orang Pendek.

"Reports of Bigfoot, or Orang Pendek as it's known, in Thailand and other parts of southeast Asia are not a new phenomenon, but due to a variety of reasons, it is a neglected region for boots-on-the-ground searches," said Biscardi.
"In the U.S., looking for Bigfoot and other cryptids has become an industry. Searches are accessible for even a novice, there really are no barriers. This is not the case in Thailand where weather, terrain, wildlife, culture and politics all create limitations."

"Only a team like mine, with more than 50 years' experience hunting Bigfoot around the world, could take on such a trek."

Joining Biscardi on the adventure will be tracker and survivalist Robert Holmberg as well as experienced researcher and archivist Chris Contrearas.

"I am confident that, along with the help and input of Thai government officials, academic leaders and locals experienced with stories, sightings and encounters, the expedition will be informative and successful in not only creating the definitive historical library of Bigfoot in Thailand, but will also produce clear evidence of the monster," he said.

UFO’s and Bigfoot are still hot topics.  The orang Pendek is prolly real.

@DieChecker once proposed that the Siamang could be the pendek. It's a compelling theory.

The Orang Pendek stories originate in Sumatra but sure, why not go looking in Thailand instead. Makes perfect sense.

Makes perfect sense if you never intended to find anything in the first place.

Humm... I don't know that in 15+ years here on UM that I've ever heard of 10 foot ape men in southeast Asia.  Anyone know about 3 meter apes in Thailand in the 16th century? Gigantopithicus was around 3 meters tall... if it stood upright. But I've never read of anyone thinking they specifically are still around. Anyone know anything about a 2005 expedition to look for bigfoot in Taiwan? Never heard of test either. A couple Google searches down and I think this may ALL be just BS from Biscardi. Completely made up historic reports that don't exist.

Exactly.  They stand about 4 foot tall but are very strong (according to witnesses?) How they consider Orang Pendek part of the Bigfoot family is a bit humorous. This animal could be real and very similar to a gorilla

I wonder if they've found anything beyond more stories.
