A new Netflix show takes a closer look at a spate of over 450 UFO sightings that were reported in a remote area of Wales.
Often billed as one of the most compelling UFO incidents ever to occur on British soil, the Broad Haven Triangle is the name assigned to a mass UFO sighting that occurred in Wales in 1977.

Perhaps the most intriguing of these sightings involved a group of 16 schoolchildren who all saw a mysterious figure dressed in silver emerge from a cigar-shaped 'craft' which landed in a field next to Broad Haven Primary School on February 4th of that year.

"From behind some trees, this thing popped up in front of me," said David Davies, now 57, who was one of the children who witnessed the object that day.

"It was silver, cigar-shaped and about 45ft long and there was just this thought that came into my mind that I had to run away. Mothers can tell when you're lying and [mine] was absolutely convinced what I was saying was the truth."

The school's headteacher later asked the children to draw what they had seen. To his surprise, the sketches of the UFO and its occupant were all eerily similar.
The same UFO was reportedly sighted again only a couple of weeks later, this time by some of the teachers and dinner ladies. One of them described seeing a 'creature' going inside.

Another strange sighting was reported a couple of months later by hotel owner Rosa Granville who was awoken in the early hours by a strange noise and saw a series of peculiar flashing lights through her window.

When she looked out she observed what she described as an "upside-down saucer" in a nearby field and two "faceless humanoids" on the ground next to it.

"It was early morning and mum was woken by a buzzing noise and she thought she'd left the gas boiler on. Once downstairs she realized the noise was from outside," said her daughter, Francis.

"She looked out and saw about 100 feet away an oval object she could only describe as a 'space craft' with lights, slowly land and two figures emerge in silver suits."

The new Netflix show Encounters, which covers the Broad Haven incident and more, is now streaming.

Sounds interesting.

It’s pretty easy to debunk a mass sighting with no evidence.

On the contrary, it's all but impossible to debunk a mass sighting incident.

Exhibit A to prove this statement false is the Phoenix Lights incident. It was supposedly some mass sighting but after a little prying and objective analysis it was proven not to be. I suspect this nonsense will be the same thing. But by all means, jump on the sensationalism bandwagon with no proof. It is always a chuckle when the truth comes out in the wash.

And you have chosen a mass sighting of UFO's, Phoenix Lights. Let a man of science show you the way.  People saw many things in the sky all day long, but of real note was a black 600 ft. long, A-frame UFO, which was seen from eastern Nevada all the way through AZ and down into Mexico.  Propagandists say sightings were of flares. But the flares, dropped at 10,000 feet, could not be seen at 120 miles away due to being below the horizon for those viewers. In other words... the propagandists LIED.  Trelane, I would rather have science and truth on my side than the government.  Ta ta

Nice attempt at trying to slip in a hidden "ad hominem". Noone says the lights that flew over Phoenix were flares. To assert otherwise, is not true.  The single witness that observed the lights through a telescope said they were planes.

Over 10,000 eyewitnesses and you cherrypick the one that saw planes. LOL. He was likely a CIA consultant, or he never saw the UFOs. I go for the former.  Anyway, dozens of people claim they saw a 2-football-stadium long, black, A-shaped craft with colored lights on the bottom, going 500 mph to the South.    Now, .those folks either were part of a conspiracy (not my belief) or they all told the truth because they could not possibly err and all have the same outrageous deion, EZPZ.    Lets get back to your man with a telescope.  1] American planes will not go into Mexico, yet the people... Related: A spoof road sign warning about UFOs has appeared near a village featured in a Steven Spielberg Netflix series about extra-terrestrials. Showing a spaceship, it popped up in Broad Haven in Pembrokeshire. The village has been described as the "Bermuda Triangle" of mysterious sightings, and features in Encounters. But the sign did not last much longer than a UFO shooting across the sky, and it has now been taken down from the outskirts of the village. Pembrokeshire council said it was not approached for consent to put it up. However, the mystery deepened when the council confirmed that ... [More]

The show is great, the last episode about the tsunami was weak, but great otherwise.
