The Republican told Joe Rogan recently about an experience she'd had while serving in the US Air Force.
Luna, who now chairs the Declassification of Federal Secrets task force in the House of Representatives, once served as an airfield management specialist in the Air National Guard.

Speaking recently in an interview with Joe Rogan, she recalled how, on one occasion, she had experienced an "airspace incursion" in which an unknown object had entered the airspace above Portland Air National Guard Base.

When she asked some pilots about it, they refused to provide details.

"They're like, 'Eh, we can't really talk about it,'" she recalled. "No-one really wanted to address it."
When Rogan suggested that it could have been a foreign military plane, Luna noted that the pilots had seemed uncharacteristically shaken up by the incident.

"No one really wanted to address it, and so from what I gathered, that had likely been a UAP," she said. "So that kind of was my perspective."

During the interview, Luna also mentioned that she had spoken to lawmakers who had allegedly seen evidence of "interdimensional beings".

"Without getting into classified conversations, there have been incidences where I believe very credible people have reported that there have been movements outside of time and space," she said.

"Based on the photos that I've seen, I'm very confident there's things out there that have not been created by mankind."

There is the Pentagon All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO)... the official body investigating UAPs, but a public reporting system isnt fully available yet?  Meanwhile, many pilots and witnesses use independent groups like NARCAP or MUFON to report sightings confidentially. These organizations help collect data but I dont think they are officially linked to the government. So, while progress is being made, the system for reporting UAPs is still kinda evolving.

Based on what my nephew said about an incident that happened when he was in the Coast Guard I believe it is a career ending or death of career advancement to report UFO/UAP sightings.

I can understand the age thing or the job naming but just the political leanings?   Mentioning one's  party affiliation does tend to make it about partisan politics.   If I reported a sighting and it was mentioned no one would describe me as the "Independent" who saw a UFO.   Including the word "Republican" as a deor smacks of pushing some political agenda, or triggering something purposely since the media is constantly spouting polarized "news".

Can you tell us more about it?

As I say, no special significance was being implied or intended, but I will refrain from including a person's political affiliation as a deor in future, if not explicitly relevant.

The issue with ol' footie is that people can recall the areas where the creature (as described) was sighted. Yet, no one ever returns to search for tracks, hair, scat to get tested. No scientists or researchers ever think to run any eDNA tests in those very specific areas.  Always seem a bit curious and a red flag in that specific shere of discussion. UFOs/UAPs are easy to say you had seen one. When I ask clarifying questions , I normally get the usual "You don't believe ,so what's the point to tell you anything else?" Instead of a reasonable response and providing what details they can. Anot... [More]

Exactly... and thats the core problem with all of these paranormal claims.  If something real happened, something physical should remain.  But instead, what we usually get is shaky footage, anecdotal accounts, and no chain of custody for any so called "data." A claim without evidence is just a story... and stories, no matter how exciting, dont prove anything.

In the early 2000's he was on a patrol ship in the Pacific and once he and others including the captain of the ship were on deck and watched a light in the sky that came close, seemed to be a rotating sphere, hovered for a bit they took off very fast and dissapeared.   The captain told everyone "You did not see anything!" and went back to the bridge.  They didn't see it come out of the ocean so I don't know if it would be classified as a USO.

My cousin who recently retired after 30 years in the Air Force, reported a UFO/UAP several years ago. She never had any adverse actions that stifled or "killed" her career. Maybe back in the 60's and 70's there was heavy stigma associated, but not within the last 20 years.

Speaking only for myself, no offense was taken; it's just that the wording in such pieces has become all too expected these days.
