The incident involved sightings of an unidentified object followed by an extensive search-and-rescue operation.
On October 4th, 1967, multiple witnesses reported a strange spectacle - a mysterious object had seemingly descended from the sky a short distance from Shag Harbor - a small fishing village situated along the Atlantic coastline of Nova Scotia.

The object - described by some as rectangular in shape with four bright lights (one at each corner) - was also seen from Air Canada flight 305 as well by other witnesses in the general area.

The plane's captain and first officer had reported seeing a rectangular object that maintained a parallel course for several miles before being engulfed by two silent explosions.

According to reports, the object was last seen entering the water off Shag Harbor, with some witnesses claiming to have seen it floating on the surface for a short time before sinking.
A concerted search-and-rescue operation was undertaken involving the police, the coast guard, multiple civilian fishing vessels and even Canadian Navy divers.

Ultimately, no trace of the object was ever found.

So what could the object have been ?

Was it an alien visitor, a top-secret aircraft that went wrong, or something else ?

We may never know for sure.
