A sighting of a strange object recently submitted to NUFORC has been raising eyebrows this week.
Gliding silently across the skies of Trenton, Texas at around 8pm on September 8th, this peculiar object might seem at a glance like the perfect example of an unidentified flying object.
Making no sound as it passed overhead, the object seemed to change shape - first resembling a pyramid shape, then changing to something more closely resembling some kind of aircraft.
"It came over trees at approximately 100 feet," the witness told the National UFO Reporting Center.
"It looked like the entire edge of it was illuminated or like a pulsating light. It was still daylight so it was hard to tell. It was moving relatively slow at approximately 20-30 miles per hour."
"There was absolutely no sound coming from the object. It looked like it changed shapes."
So could this be evidence of alien visitors ?
The most likely explanation in this particular case is that the 'UFO' is actually little more than a black trash bag floating on the wind, or perhaps a helium balloon made from a trash bag.
This explains why it changes shape and makes no noise.
Plastic bags and other debris account for quite a large number of UFO sightings owing to their unusual shape (especially when viewed from a distance) and the fact that they don't make any sound.
In all likelihood, this is one UFO case that can be quite easily put to bed.
