'Aliens may be demons', Marjorie Taylor Greene tells Bill Maher

During an appearance on Friday's Real Time With Bill Maher , US House member Marjorie Taylor Greene expressed one such viewpoint when the topic of UFO disclosure was brought up.

In particular, she suggested that demons might be an explanation for sightings of UFOs.

"Do you think demons and the devil are real?" Maher asked.

"Absolutely. I'm a Bible-believing Christian," Greene replied. "And I believe those could be fallen angels."

"Fallen angels? The aliens are fallen angels?" asked Maher.

"That's possible - I think that's what they could be," said Greene. "That's what makes sense in my worldview."Another participant on the show at the same time was The Fifth Column podcast host Michael Moynihan who was also asked whether he agreed with Greene's stance.

"No," he replied. "I'm sorry."

Interestingly, Greene is not the only prominent US politician to suggest that aliens may be demons - even Vice President J.D. Vance has stated support for this idea.

"I'm a big believer that there are things out there that we can't explain," Vance told The Hill recently.

"And so if another person sees an alien, maybe I see an angel or a demon."

"Is it aliens or is it our guardian angel, or is it aliens or is it a not so guardian force that doesn't care about us or in fact actively wishes us harm ?"

"I don't know the answer to that question. "
