Strange lights in October

Image Credit: CC BY 2.0 Jason Rogers It was sometime in the late fall, before Christmas. My wife and I had taken our dog on a walk, 21:45 in the evening. In the field behind our place it was dark and easy to see the night sky. We always look up as shooting stars are a plenty. Instead of seeing one, we witnessed two lights moving irregularly through the sky miles above us.

They were very peculiar and joined into one light... which eventually continued on and then disappearing. We could only glance at one another as it wasn't clear what we might of just seen. They seemed to move with intelligence and they definitely were not conventional aircraft or weather balloons.
