Dust patterns on basement floor

This story was submitted to the site by Donj from Smithville, Texas.
I had finished cleaning the basement floor on a Friday afternoon about 5:00 and then around 7:00 I returned to the basement and found some geometric patterns of dust at bottom of stairs that were not there earlier. The dust was brownish/red in color and the lines were 1-2" wide and about 1/4" high. The patterns were similar to oriental lettering. Later I returned and found a long trail of the dust on the other side of the room. The trail was similar in design to an ant trail in a yard. The material looked like dirt or decomposed wood but upon further investigation it was magnetic.

The trails could not have been done by a rodent, insect, animal or human.
On the following night, on the first floor directly above where the patterns were found, my wife tripped and fell and fractured her hip. A couple of weeks later, she described her motion during the fall as being launched or pushed because she landed further from where she tripped than one would might have predicted.

Then about 10 days later above the landing on the same staircase, I discovered a dead bird hanging from a curtain thread that wrapped around its leg and it was suspended upside down.

Currently, I have no answers either of a physical nature or a paranormal nature that explain the happening.

No pictures were taken?

I think it would be much easier to actually see picture of what those 'patterns' looked like instead of reading so we can get a better idea of what it is.

In a world where everyone is super glued to their phones and the phones all have cameras, I believe no incredible story without pics. People will take 1000 selfies a day and not one pic of the strangest thing they've ever seen? Not likely.

This may be the same guy that posted a similar story I saw elsewhere. No photos but crude drawings "recreating" it

The thing I find harder to believe is a house having a basement here in TX. After house hunting here, you'd have better luck finding a chupacabras than a house with a basement.

in other words....what we're all trying to say, is that this story is nothing more than wild imaginings, that doesn't even really go anywhere.!!! an untruth.....
