A strange sighting in Spain

Image Credit: CC BY-SA 2.0 ToNToNi In 2004 I was living in Spain and working as a part-time real estate agent. It was whilst driving on my way to work in June of that year that I saw something altogether bizarre.

I was in a traffic queue in a town street about four of five vehicles from traffic lights when a noticed a figure of a man walking along the road towards me. There was nothing unusual about the way he dressed or walked or anything else other than that I considered his brown suit and hat to be scruffy and his boots to be worn. What was strange was his face. It was that of a lizard complete with teeth belonging to such a creature and a lizard like tongue that flicked out once or twice during the three or so seconds I looked at him.

His ears and neck were human like but everything else concerning his face was reptilian. I cannot recall what his hair, if any was like. This figure walked pass me on the left hand side of my car within no more than two feet, (half a meter). The next thing I noticed was that the lights had changed and I commenced driving. When I had gone through the lights the full impact of what I had witnessed moments before hit me and I had to pull in to a lay-by and stop. I was dumbfounded and for some time the scene kept playing in my mind. Had I really seen what I thought I had seen?

My conclusion was; that I was incredibly mistaken or that I had hallucinated, I was intoxicated, (not likely as I was driving) or it was real.

Even today I am not 100% sure but if I had to chose it would be the last one.
