From killer asteroids to supervolcanoes, doomsday scenarios involving natural disasters have been the subject of speculation and concern for centuries - here is a list of the top five most significant natural disaster threats.

"In light of all the recent seismic activity and sub-sequent tsunami , we thought we would go back and give a look at what scientists think the top 5 natural disasters would be for the United States."
