A circular object with a ring of lights was observed by multiple witnesses across the city this week.
Social media was buzzing on the night of August 11th when several people managed to snap photographs of what appeared to be an oval-shaped craft in the sky over Houston during stormy weather.

Some of the images showed the object, which seemed to have a single point of light in its center, situated in the foreground with dark storm clouds looming menacingly behind it. The disc was pictured from several angles by different witnesses and seemed to change position in the air multiple times.
"The more people who see it in different directions, the more likely we are to figure out where it is, what it is and see if we can explain it," said Dr. Carolyn Sumners of the Houston Museum of Natural Science. "All the way back to recorded history, there are going to be things we can't explain. That's what makes it exciting."

Some of the photographs uploaded to Twitter can be viewed below:

Multiple choices here. Drone, photo shopped with collaborating witnesses but remember - there are more pics on UTube than the ones on display in the article. Or it might actually be a UFO. If it is a drone, why fly it in that kind of weather, as coolguy pointed out. Seems unlikely. QuiteContrary's vid shows that it is not street lights. It's moving. If it is fake, they did a great job. But because this happened in a torrential rain and lightning storm, I side on it being a real UFO

It looks like light reflections (the video) Now about the pictures, I'm not quite sure since the pictures are way too small to actually check something.

I don't think these are light reflections because none of the other lights are reflected anywhere. Plus the original light source would need to be visible and it's clearly not.

I don't think these are light reflections because none of the other lights are reflected anywhere. ONLY lights at the correct angle AND those that are brighter, after reflection, than the other ambient light in that region will appear. Feel free to point out the ACTUAL lights that meet those criteria and I'll be happy to do the analysis. If not, please refrain from making unsupported, over simplified, and in this case wrong, claims. Plus the original light source would need to be visible and it's clearly not. ???????? On what new optical theory do you say that? Would you like me to show you 10... [More]
