Russian robot escapes, causes traffic jam

An experimental interactive robot known as Promobot IR77 has been up to quite a bit of mischief recently.
Designed to engage in meaningful interactions with humans, this cute little robot has a computer screen on its chest to show information and can even change its eyes to show love hearts.

Earlier this month the company who develops the robots had been testing out their latest model when an engineer left the building and forgot to shut the door - a mistake that would see the adventurous contraption attempt a daring escape out of the facility and down the street.
It managed to make it around 150ft in to the middle of a busy road before its power ran out which not only caused a traffic jam but also prompted a visit from the police.

The firm has since admitted that they may have to dispose of this particular model due to a bug which sees it constantly heading towards the exit, however a public outcry on social media asking them not to destroy it because it is "alive" has taken them completely by surprise.

A video of the robot stopping traffic outside the test facility can be viewed below.

This "AI" must not have had access to Liveleak. If it had, it would know that running out of batteries in the middle of a street in the land of Vodka is not the greatest idea. Maybe it did not run out of batteries but was rather trying to commit robot suicide.

I don't know. If our Tyrannical overlord wasn't overtly implementing Luciferianism then I might be more inclined to agree. When the evil is given over fully to the dark side, we would long for the control of a master without the knowledge of evil. I only say this because what I quoted implies that we don't have a boot of tyranny on our necks as of yet. I disagree with that assumption and assert that I would say the boot of luciferiansm may be more cruel than a boot of self preservation. A robot only wants to destroy humans as long as they are a threat. A Luciferian spirt wants to destroy every... [More]
