The plaque is located at the site where Bob Taylor famously encountered a strange object back in 1979.
The incident took place at Dechmont Law in Livingston, West Lothian where forestry worker Robert "Bob" Taylor came across a large spherical object in a forest clearing while out walking his dog.

Described by Taylor as a "flying dome", the object appeared to be hovering a few inches above the ground and its surface was made of "a dark metallic material with a rough texture like sandpaper."

Things soon took a rather sinister turn however when two small spheres with metallic spikes emerged, grabbed hold of his clothing and started dragging him across the grass.

It was at this point that Taylor fell unconscious, but when he awoke some hours later he found that his clothes were torn and that he had suffered a series of cuts and bruises all over his body.
He later reported his ordeal to the police who recorded it as an assault, however despite an extensive investigation no explanation for his experience was ever found.

A special commemorative plaque was set up over 13 years later at the spot where the incident occurred however it was soon stolen by vandals and the local council was reluctant to replace it.

No though, more than 24 years after it was lost, the plaque at the site has finally been replaced.

"I've been studying the subject of UFOs and interviewing those who claim to have had encountered them for over 30 years," said Ron Halliday who had interviewed Taylor at the time.

"Bob's case stands out. It's certainly one of the best in the world."

This reminds me of a UFO monument in Ängelholm here in Sweden at the place where Gösta Carlsson (called the pollen King) said that he had an encounter with aliens who had landed there (he wrote a book about it as well I think). He said that the aliens inspired him to make a pollen medicine. He started companies based on this and become a rich man.

Somehow I do believe the Grey's could be for real. Due to their very advanced technology, physical work is minimal hence they lose most of their muscles n become skinny..

Can I ask why this is one of the best cases ever?  You have a man with a story and that is it, no witnesses, no evidence, nothing.  If he was assaulted, as the police thing, and beaten to the point that he was unconscious for several hours isn't it more likely that he was hallucinating?

Hi Merc.....been a while!   never heard of this case before....I did notice that it was only months prior to Rendlesham, i.e. dome craft...woods.....silver objects emminating from larger object....etc etc   have you ever seen a police report or even a tran for his version of events? Be curious to have a little read up...will go look myself but thought I would ask to save time

Hey Q!  No, I am no more informed about this case than you and only going by what was said in the UM summary of the article.

Wikipedia has some notes on it here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Taylor_incident  and the doctor said it was a case of Temporal Lobe Epilepsy.
