A company in New Zealand is beginning production of a commercial personal jet pack for £50,000 a piece.
The new pack weighs just over 250 pounds and can travel 30 miles at 60mph on a full tank of fuel reaching heights of over 2 kilometres. The chief executive of Martin Aircraft Company who are behind the invention has said that the jet pack is perfect for the emergancy services and military uses.
Martin Aircraft Company, in Christchurch, New Zealand, aims to make 500 packs a year which will sell for around £50,000. The 200 horsepower dual-propeller packs are the brainchild of inventor Glenn Martin who unveiled his machine for the first time in July last year.
