A group of scientists in China are mounting an expedition to seek out the mythical Yeren.
For many years there have been sightings and reports of a strange bipedal ape-like beast in the remote mountainous area of the central province of Hubei. Now the Hubei Wild Man Research Association is looking for volunteers to help seek out conclusive evidence of the creature.
A group of Chinese scientists and explorers is looking for international help to mount a new search for the country's answer to Bigfoot, known locally as the "Yeren", or "wild man".

I wonder when they will publish any findings? If they find anything physical, like a specimin, probably it will be in the news same day.

im guessing they will have hair samples from "unknown primate" and plenty of footprint cast with "dermal ridges" and some blurry pictures... meaning, it was a success and will create a new monsterquest episode for their findings... YAY I'll admit that would still keep me intrigued, well not the Monsterquest part, but I'd still be a little giddy if I found something like that. Gotta keep the mystery alive a little bit.

I can pretty much save them a trip on this one and just tell them what is going to happen. They will set up trail cameras baited with either meat or some kind of monkey scent with no pictures of anything of interest being found, blast ear drum piercing calls into the woods with no result, walk around in the woods for hours and find nothing, and after all of this will still say that something like bigfoot exists in this region and plan another investigation. There I can see the future. Anybody else interested in me predicting their future its 3.99 per minute. Mike

If I was rich and bored I would go vollinteer to work with these people. I'd probably end up learning Chinese too, which would be a very useful skill for the future. But... as I am not rich, bored or single, I will have to pass.

I believe in a lot. Lets see, I believe bigfoot isn't real, I believe that people are shooting the hell out of mangy dogs and coyotes in Texas and calling them chupacabras, I believe Elvis is dead, I believe that there was more than one shooter in the JFK assasination, that planes flew into the world trade center buildings, that cougars exist east of the Mississippi river, that 2012 is a bunch of crap, and the list could go on and on. Definitely though werewolves are real. HAHAHAHA Mike
