Mummies of 15th century dogs found

Archaeologists have discovered six mummified dogs at a pre-Columbian site south of Lima.
It is believed the dogs were offerings as part of a funeral however their exact significance is not yet understood. Scientists are now attempting to determine specifically what breed the dogs are.
Peruvian archaeologists have discovered six mummified dogs, all dating from the 15th century and apparently presented as religious offerings at a major pre-Columbian site just south of Lima.

Poor doggies... I just remembered something.... or hearing it over the news I think people do it for adoration for man's best friend... Just saw it over the news..... a Guy wants his dog to be with him forever that when the dog died of old age he hired a taxidermist..... kinda freaky having benji in display forever.....
