Dr Who's sonic screwdriver - a reality ?

Engineers are developing a device able to move and manipulate objects using ultrasonic sound waves.
While it only works on a very small scale at the moment it could one day be made in to something similar to the Doctor's own sonic screwdriver enabling it to loosen screws and put together delicate components and electronics.
Engineers have developed a device that is capable of moving and manipulating objects using only ultrasonic sound waves. They say the technology could eventually lead to devices that can undo screws, assemble electronics and putting together delicate components.

Will it be able to levitate huge stone blocks for megalithic structures? lol, maybe this is a sign that AA theorists were right Invent Sound Moving Device Thingy + Invent time machine = Proves Ancient Astronaut theory ???Profit

I think that life would be too easy then... Yes, it would be awesome to have a sonic screw driver like The Doctor's (David Tennant is the best) But there can be a lot of problems to that solution....

Dibs on Christopher Eccleston! lol......i must say he is a tad cute........it's rather scary for me thinking about all the doctors.............i remember watching it after school.....and watching black and white episodes..........Tom Baker is my fave....that scalf was what made him,lol.............my brother gives me all kinds of box sets for christmas and birthdays.......i have all the originals in box sets.........and they are still in the plastic wrapping............

just a thought could this be developed into a sonic shower? no more waste of drinkable water to get yourself clean?

I want one. Could come in handy. John Pertwee was the best doctor. After him, naaah, just wasn't the same.
