Was the Mona Lisa really a man ?

i always thought the mona lisa was a self portrait,is'nt it? People thought the Mona Lisa was a self portrait of da Vinci because his OTHER self portrait combines with it. Which is true, but why would he do this?

So is the Mona Lisa just what happens when an artist paints like a thousand faces; they all start to look alike, or is it the world's first example of rule 63? Hard to say. Da Vinci was seriously the Renaissance man's Renaissance man. It has been argued that he incorporated entire musical scores into his paintings, so if he had a mind to do it, he certainly wasn't above sticking Easter eggs into his art.

If it was just because of his style they might look similar, but they wouldn't be so similar that when they are superimposed they actually make a new and even more clear face. They do look alot alike... Yeah, the cleavage aside, its a man. it could have been painted to ressemble a femenine figure, thats for sure.

I've always wondered about The Mona Lisa. From the photos, I would believe it!

Brow ridge different. Nose different. Jaw different. Look a little closer, these two paintings are clearly of different, though slightly similar people.

The Mona Lisa painting was painted long ago and I think Leonardo Da Vinci was not a mysterious man,so I am prepared to believed the old story of Mona Lisa.
