DNA test to help solve Earhart mystery

Researchers are hoping to determine whether a bone found on Nikumaroro is from the famed aviator.
To do this DNA samples are to be collected from the dried saliva on envelopes she'd licked before she went missing and then compared to the DNA of the bone fragment to determine if they are indeed from the same person.Amelia Earhart's dried spit could help solve the longstanding mystery of the aviator's 1937 disappearance, according to scientists who plan to harvest her DNA from envelopes.
