Three red lights hover over Colorado town

Three red lights caught on film over Colorado during the weekend have generated a lot of interest online.
50-year-old Leroy Vandervegt shot the footage after his son spotted the objects moving from south west to south east across the horizon. "I had no idea what it is," he said. "It wasn't a satellite, it wasn't an airplane and it wasn't a helicopter."
The lights remained in a triangular shape as they moved forward, though the shape of the triangle changed. Denver International Airport officials would not talk about the sighting but, intriguingly, Allen Kenitzer, the Federal Aviation Administration's spokesman for the Rocky Mountain region, said his staff didn't see anything out of the ordinary.

No. Absolutely (if there is an absolute....) NOT the NOSS satellites. I have seen MANY satellites (and the Space Station/Shuttle) over the years. These weren't even CLOSE to that. They were moving WAY to slowly for satellites and WAY too low and were BRIGHT RED emitting their own light. Satellites can be seen because The Sun (WHITE light) is reflecting off of them. A tumbling satellite will appear to go on and off as the light is reflected off of the shiny surface, then not from a dull (solar panel) surface. A post on another web site said it was obviously satellites with the city lights of De... [More]

During the time these lights were seen there were (and are) many fires burning in the state. These fires will cause all kinds of visual changes of things in the sky. Just like the sunsets are brighter red. Just like the moon. The smoke and particles in the atmosphere where these widlfires are burning will also cause things to "flicker" or change visually. The NOSS satellites don't tumble and can appear to move very quickly and quite slowly depending on your vantage point. Nibs Right. As we know being from Colorado, fires can turn things ORANGE, like your Moon picture. They will NOT turn BRIGHT... [More]

You are correct , it is a UFO..... Considering it is fact that these type of lights and formations can be hoaxed ( If I had some extra funds , I would do it now , this summer I promise )....Are you convinced it was not a Hoax?....Man made? Also , you should know wind currents change at different altitudes I am pretty convinced it wasn't a hoax but who knows? I don't know WHAT they were so hoax has to be included in what they might have been. But I really don't think they were. They are beyond my present experience....and I've been around for a while..... Being a pilot I am VERY familiar with u... [More]

Video of the lights over Lafayett Co Video of NOSS satellite *shrug* Just my opinion. Nibs And I appreciate that. To me the two videos don't look the same. The difference here is that I SAW them with my own eyes! I don't know what they were, but I am pretty sure of what they WEREN'T. But, as well, that is just my opinion.

I saw these exact same lights last night going right over my house in California. They were slow moving same formation and same red lights. I didn't have my phone, but called to my husband to come see them. He seemed to think it must be a stealth bomber. I am not convinced. There were planes off in the distance, but these just slowly moved across the sky. I have been searching all day for information on if anyone else had seen these same things. This happened around 9:00 p.m. 4-21-11.

NOSS satellite? Nibs If this was one solid object it would have had to have been huge and very far away because at 1:05 you can see as it passes by a bright star it does not block it which means it would have been either behind the stars or 3 seperate objects flying.

It wasn't one solid object. If you click the link she provided above the video, there is more information.

This looks like a classic lantern sighting. Also in most the deions for this sighting it states that it stays in a triangular formation... if there are three objects it's impossible not to make a triangular formation. Just saying.
