An ancient, natural nuclear explosion may have once occured on Mars, turning everything to dry sand.
What's more the same thing may have once happened on Earth as well according to senior propulsion scientist Dr. John Brandenburg who believes the Mars explosion could have been the equivalent to 1 million one-megaton hydrogen bombs. "A nuclear explosion could have sent debris all around the planet," he says.
About 180 million years ago, a planet-shattering yet naturally occurring nuclear reaction may have wiped out everything on Mars, sending a shockwave that turned the planet into dry sand.
