A monkey created quite a stir in one Chinese province when it was mistaken for an alien creature.

Housewife Mao Xiping first encountered the monkey when she found it stealing cucumbers from her flat, she noted that it had an "alien face" and showed it to her neighbours who agreed that they'd never seen anything like it.

Well, a malnourished monkey is not the only thing that's been mistaken for an alien. I found it interesting that the "alien" idea is that pervasive.
