Store owner Derek Poe told officers that the 18-year-old was there to attract customers as part of the store's grand opening, but he was nonetheless temporarily detained for violating a city ordinance prohibiting solicitation along the side of a road.
Poe himself is no stranger to controversy having been stopped by police for carrying an assault rifle on his back through Parkdale Mall back in December.

Officers in Beaumont, Texas arrived on the scene after receiving complaints from members of the public.
The man was found outside the Golden Triangle Tactical store dressed in a large yellow banana costume with an arrow pointing to the entrance behind him and an AK-47 assault rifle slung over his shoulder.Store owner Derek Poe told officers that the 18-year-old was there to attract customers as part of the store's grand opening, but he was nonetheless temporarily detained for violating a city ordinance prohibiting solicitation along the side of a road.
