Is the CIA developing weather weapons ?

A senior US scientist has expressed concern over the use of climate data by US intelligence agencies.
Climate scientist Alan Robock of Rutgers University in New Jersey has called on government agencies to open up about the real reasons behind their interest in funding both climate change research and the development of geoengineering techniques.

At least one of these methods, which involves the release of stratospheric aerosols in to the atmosphere to bring about an overall cooling effect, has the potential to be turned in to a potentially destructive weather weapon.

Of particular concern to Robock were the reasons behind the CIA's decision to partially fund a recent two-volume National Academy of Sciences report in to methods for tackling climate change.
His suspicions stemmed from a strange call he received three years ago from CIA consultants who wanted to know how they could determine if another country was controlling the climate.

"I think they were also thinking in the back of their minds: ‘If we wanted to control somebody else's climate could they detect it?'," he said.

"I think this research should be out in the open and it has to be international so there won't be any question that this technology will be used for hostile purposes."

These "spy agencies" as referenced in the article have for decades funded what-if kinds of research that emerges from corporate and educational "think-tanks." These think-tanks survive on soft-funding allowing individuals who have developed specialized interests, often of an academic nature through graduate schooling, to provide insight into new concepts. Topics that might be viewed as potentially divisive, e.g. yielding fodder to the conspiracy theorists and the like, are identified and cloaked to some degree of secrecy.

Ugh...this just sounds like another attempt to subvert mitigating climate change by using fear-mongering tactics.

The song is on iTunes for 99cents with some tax, I suppose. Did you all see that it is said that Langley has been shut-down or isolated?

I was reading today that O2 is made by UV rays hitting CO2. Isn't that interesting?! http://motherboard.v...it-with-a-laser This link took some time to find. I have the hard copy right in front of me, in Science News. This makes me skeptical of why whoever it is that is putting crapchemicals into the atmosphere is doing the right thing. What if the crapchemicals are blocking the suns UV rays from hitting CO2 to stop the non-photosynthetic creation of O2. Could othat be the reason for the rise in CO2? Would it have an effect on this new discovery, the dubious and suspect release of crapchemical... [More]

Could you give us a link to the text of this pact? As for weaponized weather, either the US is testing it out on its own major metropolitan centers because of Illuminati reasons (heavy drought west of the Rockies, blizzard after blizzard in the Northeast), or it doesn't work. Has it been attempted? Given some of the other stuff the CIA has tried http://www.toptenz.net/top-10-weirdest-cia-programs.php it wouldn't surp... [More]
