At least three people are thought to have been killed recently by monkeys in India's Nolanda district.
Temple priest Munna Mishra had been sweeping up outside his home when a deluge of bricks, which had been dropped from above by a group of monkeys, hit him on the head and killed him.

His tragic death is the third known fatality caused by the mischievous animals in recent times.
"They not only snatch vegetables and other good from the hands of people but also bite them," said local resident Jeetendera Singh. "Some school children have also become their target."

Even within the last week there have been several reports of attacks on women and children.

Local authorities have been ordered to round up as many of the monkeys as possible and bring them to a nearby zoo but given their numbers the task may simply be insurmountable.
