One unsuspecting Twitter user was shocked to discover a gigantic insect sitting on top of her clothes.
Imagine opening your closet door to take out something to wear and finding an Asian giant hornet - the largest hornet species on Earth - chilling out on the shoulder of one of your sweaters.

This was the sight that greeted one terrified woman from Japan last week:

Her photographs of the gargantuan insect have since been shared thousands of times online with Internet users freaking out over the fact that something this large actually exists.

"It's the first time I've seen one this big," she wrote. "What am I supposed to do with this ?"

Fortunately though she was eventually able to remove it from her house without being stung.

It looks too big to me. I know Giant Asian hornet are pretty big. But what that lady saw on her shirt almost looked like it was the size of a human hand. Although that could just be the angle of the picture making the hornet look bigger than it is. It's like how Hunter's will hold their kill really close to the camera while they stand a little further back, makes them (the kill) look bigger than it really is. It's all about perspective. I take photos, you can make anything huge with the right angle.

It could be a matter of camera perspective. It looks tiny in that tweezers.
