Dancing robots might be nothing new, but what about 1,007 of them all dancing at the same time ?
The impressive spectacle saw hundreds of the programmable contraptions perform a flawless routine of synchronous dance moves while being controlled by a single mobile device.
Special encryption technology was used to prevent anyone from tampering with the signal.
The record-breaking dance took place at the Qingdao Beer Festival in Shandong, China where the company respnsible for producing the robots - Ever Win Company & Ltd - earned an official Guinness World Record for beating the previous record of 540 dancing robots.
Ironic. They have already succeeded in creating and controlling millions of (human) robots. Communism works well like that. And these robots didn't even move their feet... With a bit of cash, you could buy a couple thousand of these sound activated parrots and break the record yourself: http://www.fishpond.com.au/Toys/Como-Voice-Control-Sound-Activated-Chirping-Parrot-Toy-Como/9999317862261
Why does this remind me of technological testing of an eventual (years ahead) robot invasion force? EDIT: I think I would currently be more worried about an armed mini-drone invasion fleet... guns, explosives, etc...
It's cool, but why does China need all those robots when they have cheap labor already. Don't they realize that automation and less sophisticated robots causes unemployment? Lower cost and higher productivity, yes. definitely, but a higher unemployment rate because typically the people being replaced can't be or refuse to be retrained in a new field due to age or education.  Don't mind me. I had too many friends rand family replaced by machines. My late Father for one.
what a waste! if each one of them will just plant a tree and walk through a forest will understand what's real and what really mattes. virtual life fools !
