Giant snow bear spawns belly button mystery

How did the belly button get there ? Image Credit: Twitter / Kate McKenna
The outline of a bear created in the snow on a canal in Montreal has left a lot of people scratching their heads.
At a quick glance the image, which was created by stamping the outline in to the snow, might seem pretty unremarkable, but if you take a closer look, it quickly becomes apparent that something is amiss... how did its creators manage to make the belly button without leaving a trail of footprints in the snow around it ?

The bear itself is actually quite large ( there is approximately two meters between the belly button and the outside edge ) meaning that it is unlikely that someone could have jumped across.

The puzzle has been generating some heated debate online over the last few days with social media users speculating over the various possible solutions.
Some have suggested that the bear's creators used a large stick or other object to make the belly button, while others believe that snowballs were thrown in to the center of the outline.

It has even been suggested that the belly button had been created using a drone or that the interior markings were simply there beforehand and the creators drew the outline around them.

As things stand, nobody is quite sure what the answer could be.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone suggests that Ancient Aliens did it or taught someone how to do it.  It does look up into the stars at night.

Here in Colorado In the 90s when I was young it would snow at my grandma's, I'd run on the snow covered grass and every single time near the middle of the lawn there'd be what looked like a footprint. Imagine big bird from Sesame Street making a footprint \l/ that's what it'd look like, each toe as big as my shoe and there was only ever one. This reminded me of it. Pretty creepy
