What do you see in this picture ? Image Credit: Odimar Souza
Workers in Brazil couldn't believe their eyes when they discovered a familiar figure inside a piece of wood.
Roadworks director Odimar Souza and colleagues had been cutting trees in Itaquirai in Brazil's southwestern state of Mato Grosso do Sul recently when some of the men noticed a strange shape - initially thought to be a butterfly - in one of the cut tree branches.
After the branch was cut with a chainsaw however, the shape took on a distinct human-like appearance with many of the workers likening it to the image of Jesus wearing a robe.
"We cut this same trunk into two pieces after changing the chain and that was when this piece of perfection appeared," said Souza.
After images of the find were posted up on social media, the discovery soon went viral - with many people deeming it to be a sign of divine intervention.
Skeptics, meanwhile, argued that it was simply a case of pareidolia - the tendency for the human brain to see meaningful shapes in otherwise abstract patterns.

You could be right you know, after all, trees and other vegetation is what supplies us our oxygen. And oxygen helps cool the earth. So if man keeps deforesting land we're not going to have air to breathe, and the earth is going to get hotter. That will affect not only us but all air-breathing animals as well.
That's not Jesus, that's Mr. Burns as seen in the classic Simpsons episode "The Springfield Files" The head appears round because of his... "Healthy, natural green glow"
Hummm.... i dont see Jesus, just discoloration due to a fungus. I mean, i kind of see it. But could be Charlton Heston for all we know. Maybe Moses, Abraham or David? Wont stop someone from selling it for 100k though. Remember though, not to worship false idols.
Oh, good grief. People act like they are living back in the middle ages when superstition was rampant. It's just a stain and no one knows what Jesus looked like anyway.
