'Ghost' photographed on bench in haunted park

Is this evidence of a ghost at Pasir Ris Park ? Image Credit: Facebook / @nurumairah
A woman who had been running in a park in Singapore captured something rather strange on camera.
Pasir Ris Park - and in particular its Sungei Api Api swamp area - is certainly no stranger to the unexplained thanks to stories of pontianaks - a type of female vampire in the local folklore.

In this particular case, a woman named Umairah had been out running in the park one evening when she noticed what appeared to be a long-haired woman sitting alone on a bench in the dark.

"Why was there a woman just sitting by herself ?" she wrote on Facebook. "She was just staring at the lake. That area was very dark. Very dark. And no one else was around."

Thinking this strange, she snapped a photograph and carried on running. As she did so, she recalled hearing someone utter her name, almost like a whisper in her ear, even though nobody was there.
"I had goosebumps and the hair on the back of my neck stood," she wrote. "I know it wasn't a human because there was no one else around."

When she later posted her photograph and story on Facebook, other users noted that the strange woman did not appear to have any legs or feet - the area beneath the bench was empty.

Could she have simply been sitting cross-legged, or is there a more paranormal explanation ?

You decide.

I see a bad quality picture taken at night of a very normal woman with feet partially obscured by the bench legs sitting on a bench. She says she took it because "the woman was alone staring at a lake" - yeah, no LIVING person would do that. Besides, she wasn't alone - the woman taking the picture was there too, all by herself. Duh. Too bad the girl on the bench didn't take a picture of the other woman, we could have TWO dumb ghost pics. Nothing strange here. So stupid.

Looks like a large raven or buzzard sitting on top of the park bench.  Nothing to see here people.  Move along.

If you have a camera that only takes very dark, fuzzy, blurred, out of focus, or other photo defective images; please throw it away. I think governments should start a camera buy back campaign. Let's rid the world of this bane to mankind.

Some people just need to be alone. No real evidences of anything amiss here.

I agree with the general consensus here that it isn't clear enough to draw any sort of conclusion as to what you are seeing. At first glance, it does look like someone with long dark hair sitting there. On second look it is indistinct enough to possibly be any number of things as mentioned. The dark plays a lot of games with things that you see.
