The Foo Fighters frontman and former Nirvana drummer is known to have a keen interest in UFOs.
The American singer, musician and songwriter, whose career in the music industry has spanned over three decades, recently described his entire life as an "out-of-body experience."
Speaking during a promotion for his upcoming memoir, he took the time to answer a few questions - including one about a subject that has long been dear to his heart - UFOs.
"Foo Fighters are named after a military term for UFOs. What did you think of the supposed UFO images that the US government released this summer?" the interviewer asked him.
"Oh, I'm a total UFO nerd and I have been for decades," he replied.
"So I've been following it - but what's happening now, I don't think is new. I'm of the belief that that we are not alone, and I'm totally okay with that, you know? It doesn't really change my day too much. "
"When I look up at the stars I think, 'God, I hope we're not alone. What a drag that would be.'"
Back in 2015, he also spoke to Billboard magazine about the topic.
"In another life, I hope that I was an astrophysicist," he said at the time. "I spend most of my time online in the science section of Google news. It's what I do all day long. I'm a UFO fanatic."
A video clip of him talking about UFOs and government coverups back in 1995 can be viewed below.
I'm not sure who this surprised. The term "Foo Fighter" was what allied pilots called UFO's during WW2. There are some really weird encounters recorded during WW2, one from memory involved a ball of light throwing spanners at an aircraft
