Bizarre video of 'flying deer' goes viral

Image: AI-generated (Midjourney) Originally posted on Twitter by the WildLense Eco Foundation of India, the footage shows a young deer running up to a road and then leaping several feet into the air before hurtling a considerable distance and eventually landing on its feet again in the foliage on the other side.

What's particularly remarkable is the sheer distance it manages to jump, both vertically and horizontally - making it appear as though it is flying through the air.

A man can be seen in the clip watching in awe at the animal's gymnastic capabilities.Social media users who viewed and commented on the video were understandably impressed, with many likening the clip to something out of science-fiction movie The Matrix.

"And the gold medal for long and high jump goes to..." wrote one user.

"Wow, never seen such a long jump from anybody but this one is literally flying," wrote another.
