The UFO Phenomenon

Missile test launch sparks UFO scare in South Korea

Social media was awash on Friday with reports of strange objects, vapor trails and colored lights over the country.
In a compelling reminder of how easily mundane and conventional aerial phenomena can be mistaken for extraterrestrial visitors, South Korea experienced its own miniature UFO scare on Friday when a spate of sightings and reports of something in the sky hit social media.

Puzzled users posted up photographs and videos of rainbow-colored vapor trails, unexplained lights and other strange spectacles in the skies over the city of Goyang and its surrounding area.

Even the police were inundated with calls from residents who were worried about what they had seen.
While many were convinced that the phenomenon was evidence of alien visitors, it soon became apparent that the lights and vapor trails had a rather more down-to-earth explanation.

According to the South Korean military, the sightings had actually been sparked by the recent test firing of a solid-fuelled rocket as part of the country's efforts to bolster its surveillance capabilities.

No notification had been given to the public beforehand due to the sensitive nature of the launch.

People saw something they didn't understand and automatically claimed extraterrestrial craft? Shocked, shocked I say.

I read that a North Korean drone got like a hundred miles into South Korea. That would be a lot more disturbing IMHO then this rocket test.   https://www.nytimes.com/2022/12/28/world/asia/north-korea-drones.html

Hum, im not so impressed that busted up light blue plane very well maybe state of the art for North Korea but when i worked at the hobby shop used its about 100 bucks. Since i like RC i hunted online a little and found drone That was i believe from 2017 that craft is a pig it has a 2 cylinder engine that is likely gasoline 2 stroke, think dual weed eater engine the wing is leaning to glider as is the V tail so it could ride thermals but the engine is an anchor and 100 miles in? It would have had to have been tracked or ? Not line of site flown and baby blue on the sky is hard to see anyway And... [More]
