Uri Geller blames technical problems on extraterrestrial visitors

Image Credit: Twitter / Uri Geller Geller, who is no stranger to making 'out there' claims, started the new year by implying that intelligent extraterrestrials are likely to be responsible for the recent major outage of the Federal Aviation Administration's IT system which saw thousands of flights grounded across the United States.

He also suggested that cosmic forces might be responsible for similar issues with social media platforms such as Facebook and WhatsApp in recent months.

"This is just out now... all flights grounded after major system failure sparks travel chaos in the United States. I mean a few months ago we had the internet down, WhatsApp down," he said on Twitter.

"I have no doubt in my mind that aliens are testing our sophisticated, so-called sophisticated systems. This is major, lots of UFOs have been spotted over nuclear plants, nuclear submarines and so on, they are doing something, they are testing us.""Started in 1940s, near A-bomb development sites. Geller has long warned of what he calls an impending alien invasion, having previously cautioned NASA to prepare for such an event.

So far, however, he hasn't been able to provide any evidence to back up any of his assertions.
