Alleged 'sea monster' spotted off the coast of Somerset, England

A strange shape not dissimilar to that typically associated with the Loch Ness Monster was recently sighted in the water.
Anna Purse had been enjoying a day out along the shoreline in Clevedon with her six-year-old daughter at the weekend when she spotted something strange out at sea.

The object, she noted, looked an awful lot like Scotland's famous loch monster.

"Myself and my six year-old daughter Grace were walking along the seafront on Sunday and were sitting on one of the benches before the pier," she said.

"The shape was right next to the pier and I noticed it moving. It moved all the way along the sea in front of us whilst we were sat there."

"My daughter Grace said it looked like a sea monster. Just the shape of it reminded me of Nessie."
Purse wasn't the only one to spot the alleged creature that day - several other visitors to the area also reported seeing something unusual in the water and posted up photographs on social media.

Far from being an ocean-dwelling cousin of Nessie, however, the 'monster' is far more likely to have been little more than a piece of driftwood being carried by the tide.

Even Purse herself admitted that this was the most likely explanation.

"It was driftwood of course but just looked so unusual," she added.

I'm going to go with Log also. Unless there are more pictures, that show it actually moving?

Funny that they say it looked like the Loch Ness Monster when they are referring to the debunked old pic.
