The documentary series, which is currently available on the streaming platform, explores four major UFO incidents.
Netflix has been offering up quite the bounty of documentaries for those with an interest in the unexplained in recent years, with the Unsolved Mysteries reboot series offering up a plethora of general mysteries and MH370: The Plane That Disappeared covering the disappearance of Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 and the subsequent efforts by experts to unravel the mystery.

The streaming service's latest offering is Encounters - a four-part documentary series covering some of the world's most intriguing and enigmatic UFO cases.

These include the case of the Broad Haven Triangle (a spate of UFO sightings that occurred over Wales in 1977) and a mass UFO sighting that happened over Texas in 2007 and 2008.
The show also covers the mysterious case of 60 school children who all sighted a UFO in Zimbabwe back in 1997 and the appearance of unexplained lights over Japan's Fukushima power plant after the nuclear accident in 2011.

Co-created by Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment, Encounters has proven to be quite the hit.

You can check out the official trailer for the show below.
